She was a Master of Science degree candidate in Industrial Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University in the early 1990’s. Carla was a devoted friend and classmate to all who met her while attending North Carolina A&T State University. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it and provide advice to those who wanted it. Carla was a dedicated Industrial Engineering student who wanted everyone to succeed. If she understood a concept, she was always willing to explain and clarify the concept to those who desired more understanding. Reaching out could have easily been Carla’s motto because that is exactly what she did for others. Carla succumbed to Breast Cancer on September 11, 1995. Although she is not with us now, her legacy will live on through this scholarship made possible by her friends, now alumni, from the Industrial Engineering department. It is only befitting that this scholarship is named in her memory because she would have wanted to help another Industrial Engineering student to succeed. 2 Revision10: September 2015 The Carla Macon Granville Engineering Scholarship “Given in Loving Memory of Our Dear Friend Carla” Application (You must complete the entire application form, checking boxes where required.)
