Look for your Wednesday Folder on TUESDAY next week as the End of the Year Picnic on

Wednesday will disrupt our normal delivery.

YEARBOOK NEWS: Students who purchased their Yearbook received it yesterday – this may prompt others to want to get one of their own.

Good news: we have extras. To purchase, bring $12 to Mrs. Mattson.

GRADUATION CHOIR INVITATION: We are seeking students (grades 2 – 7) who would like to volunteer to sing in the choir during the 8 th grade graduation Mass on Friday, June 7 th .

The siblings of the graduates have been invited to join the choir, but we would like to add more children to the choir. Please contact Mr. Pleger if your child would like to volunteer.

Pre-K, Kinder, and 1 st grade students will be transported by bus. (But parents can still volunteer to drive)

We need 4 more parents to help with the BBQ lunch (set-up, cooking, serving, clean-up) 11:30 – 1:30

We need 12 more parents to help with the relay games (two parents per station) 9:45 to 12:00

PERMISSION FORMS FOR THE PICNIC: Parents please be aware that each child received their permission form this afternoon. Please ask for it, sign and return as soon as possible.

LABEL FOR EDUCATON: Our event coordinator will make her last label collection on Friday, May 31 st .

BOX TOPS: Our event coordinator will make her last Box Top collection on Friday, May 31 st .

Next week students will begin turning in their text books, as they do, their teachers will evaluate the wear and tear of each book with the student as it is turned in. In the event that a book has sustained significant damage or is deemed unusable, a book fine will be given to the student so they can notify their parents.

All fines not paid before June 7, 2013 will be billed through the school’s financial office.

SCHOOL LUNCH ACCOUNTS

Your final lunch account balance slip will be in next week’s Tuesday Folder.

If you have a negative balance, it must be paid in full by 4:00 on Thursday, June 6 th

If you have a positive balance, you can either roll the balance forward for next year or receive a refund.

LOST AND FOUND: Our cupboards are overflowing with children’s jackets, sweaters, lunch boxes, etc. These items will be on display in the hall by the St. Joseph Office for the remainder of the week. Please drop by to claim your children’s items.

USED UNIFORMS: As the school year comes to a close, you may be thinking about what to do with your child’s outgrown, but gently used uniforms; here is a great idea! Donate them back to the school (collection boxes in the St. Joe’s & MJC offices). These donated uniforms will be sorted, washed, and added to our supply of used uniforms for our summer sale.

Kostka Club : The following students are scheduled to serve at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on the 19 th :

SUMMER WORK AROUND SCHOOL: We have a number of projects that we will be working on during the summer. These projects are great opportunities for parents to finish off their volunteer hours and/or bank hours for the 2013/14 school year. If you are interested in taking the lead and/or helping with any of the following projects, please contact Mr. Pleger.

 Paint the Mercy Building exterior (date/time open)

 Paint the cinderblock wall on the roof of the Mercy Building (date/time open)

 Remove the sinks and counters in the Mercy Building bathrooms (week of June 17

 Remove the flooring in the Mercy Building bathrooms (week of June 17 th ) th

 Install new counters and sinks in the Mercy Building bathrooms (week of July 15

 Remove the carpet in the Mother Joseph Center Chapel (week of June 17 th ) th )
