The menus for the week long class have been revised to include Mexican Regional selections featured in her “Best in the US” Scottsdale Fairmont Princess cooking schools. There are four weekend classes and one week long class taught in Jane’s home kitchen in Corrales, New Mexico. Each of the classes is hands-on and preceded with the history of the major ingredients, hints and tips for success with the recipes. Each attendee receives an apron, cookbook and a diploma. This school was selected in 1996 as one of the top four in the world by “Bon Appetit” magazine. For the past three years, her school was awarded “Best in the US” by Gayot.com for the Top Ten Hotel based Cooking Schools in the world. Hands-on Team Building and demonstration classes are also featured and are very popular with corporate, club, and convention groups. In celebration of the school’s 25th year, the School has just launched “Cooking with Jane,” a monthly subscription based Cooking Club. The pre-launch interest has been very good. Included in the club will be a range of monthly features, including healthy cooking, quick and easy cooking, menus for a range of meals, Southwestern and Mexican cooking, parties, snacks, and desserts as well as seasonal <more> features. There will be view on demand videos, downloadable recipes, specials on spices, products and classes. An On-line school has been successfully launched, “All About Chiles” through the University of British Columbia. In 40 lectures, a thorough review of the healthful aspects of chiles plus over 160 tested, favorite recipes for cooking Southwestern, Tex-Mex, Mexican, Quick and Easy, Healthy Cooking, Chilis and How to Create Your Own Recipes are taught. Accompanying the class are a Discussion Board and a Chat Room.
