MASTER SCHEDULE DEVELOPMENT CALENDAR
2008-2009
BANNER
PROCESS
Associate Dean for Planning and College Master Schedule meets with:
 Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs
 Associate Vice President for Student Affairs
 Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs
 College Dean of Enrollment Management
 College Registrar
to discuss and review upcoming master schedule with relationship to
enrollment trends, special initiatives and enrollment management.
MSPC Campus Liaisons have Academic/Assistant Chairs and/or Building
Administrators perform annual review and inventory of campus facilities,
rooms and attributes. MSPC Campus Liaisons forward changes to MSPC for
review. Associate Dean for Planning and College Master Schedule updates
master facilities program in Banner (SLABLDG and SLARDEF).
Associate Dean for Planning and College Master Schedule and IT Department
“ROLL” the Banner Master Schedule from prior year.
Associate Dean for Planning and College Master Schedule and IT Department
notifies the MSPC Campus Liaisons, Enrollment Management Team and
campus Executive Deans re: master schedule “ROLL”.
MSPC Campus Liaisons e-mail notification of Banner master schedule
“ROLL” to academic chairs on respective campuses.
MSPC Campus Liaisons meet with academic/assistant academic chairs to
discuss schedule goals. MSPC Campus Liaisons update Executive Deans on
master schedule.
Distance Education courses are approved by campus Executive Deans and
Associate Dean/Instructional Technology.
Associate Dean for Planning and College Master Schedule meets with
Associate Dean for Continuing Education and Associate Dean of
ESL/Transitional Programs to discuss program offerings, schedule and room
availability.

PROCESS
Academic/Assistant Chairs review special messages in Banner at the course
and section level (SCADETL and SSADETL), perform updates and adjust
start/end dates, etc.
Associate Dean for Planning and College Master Schedule and MSPC campus
liaisons review first “REPORT” of master schedule.
Academic/Assistant Chairs and Campus Liaisons finalize special messages in
Banner SCADETL and SSADETL, perform appropriate updates and adjust
start/end dates, etc.
MSPC campus liaisons review schedule with Academic/Assistant Chairs to
ensure it conforms to “Guidelines for Master Schedule Development” and
recommends schedule to the Associate Dean for Planning and College Master
Schedule and MSPC.
Associate Dean for Planning and College Master Schedule reviews master
schedule with the Central Enrollment Management Team and recommends the
schedule to Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs.
SECOND “REPORT” of Banner master schedule is produced, 5:00 pm.
MSPC campus liaisons performs final review of schedule with
Academic/Assistant Chairs. Academic/Assistant Chairs input final changes and
updates.
IT Department forwards College Master Schedule to Office of College
Registrar for editing (Elaine LaGreca).
Final editing of print copy of master schedule by Office of College Registrar
(Elaine LaGreca) and Associate Dean for Planning and College Master
Schedule.
48 hour review by Associate Dean for Planning and College Master Schedule
and MSPC Campus Liaisons.
Print ready copy is forwarded to Office of Publications for review and print
approval.
Final Master Schedule including associated text is made available
electronically for priority registration
