Agenda Item Strategic Plan (Auckland Providers) From Minutes of Last Meeting Comments / Recommendations Job or Health Fairs There is one being organised by Auckland Disability Providers Network (ADPN) held 2nd and 3rd of December 2011 in Auckland. Individual Organisations if they are interested to contact Pam Antill as soon as possible. Sarah Halliday advised that there is a Transition Job Fair 6th July 2011 and Elevator will be part of this. PolyEmp and Framework cannot really commit to any of these Job Fairs at the moment until they know what the Contracts will be like for the new Financial Year Auckland Council Strategic Partnership events and support to Place our people with them. Paul Revill (Walsh) will take the lead on this. Aim is to have an EEO Business Awards sponsored by Auckland City Council and / or other large Employer. Sarah also advised that there are already EEO Business/ Diversity Awards in Place and to check out EEO Website. Presentations had already taken place but felt the forum was on a Local level only Action Paul will send out contact details for Pam Antill and details of the Job Fair to Providers. (Henderson and Massey Local Board) Time frame complete by December 2011 Paul advised that Claire Wilson (Council Disability Strategic Advisor) advised that the Council have their own Internal Recruitment Team now. Claire will follow up with the Relationship Management for Community and Social Forum for Paul to present to. This Forum is where supported Employment sector is. EEO Trust developing stronger relationships: Neil Porteous, CE from Elevator is now on their board. FEEDBACK LAST MEETING’S AGENDA Paul Revill volunteered to lead this project since there is a co-relation between what he is working on with the Council and this Project INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS: Paul Revill gave feedback on the Presentations to MSD and the Industry Partnership Team Presentation went well however it was generally felt that it was a bit disappointing that William Ulugia and his Team were not present, but understandable due to the Christchurch Earthquake. It was good to meet the Disability Team and particularly the Mainstream Team to get to know a bit more about us. ASENZ BOARD: Emma Carreon gave feedback from the last ASENZ Board Meeting held 13th and 14th April in Hamilton Ian Harper will post Minutes on the Website. Strategic Planning for the next 3 years for the ASENZ Board has been finalised. Vision and Mission Statements are in Place. 6 Major Projects are in place which are led by Board Members Open invitation to ASENZ Members to work on these Projects Emma encouraged that people join in whatever Projects they feel they can contribute to. Practice Principles of SE, Ian Harper would like feedback and replies to this. ASENZ will re-look at the Constitution Emma advised that they still need 2 more people for the Board and invited Sarah Halliday to be present at the next Board Meeting in Auckland. Conference was one of the major topics. CDANZ presentation to the Organisation by Joy and Emma from Edge some of the findings were: (i)The presentation was able to clarify that supported employment services use career development tools. Ongoing possibility of a collaboration between CDANZ / ASENZ, this is being discussed. Practitioners Meeting is working well Practitioners suggestion that we should be including an influential Employer to be a member of ASENZ Board.
