Fall 2007 Mission Statement: The 2007 Executive Committee will provide an environment for Acacia
Fraternity members to reach their physical, spiritual, mental, and social potential through the promises
and goals communicated to the membership. At the end of the day each member will say, “I made the
best choice.”

Family Day
 Went really well, over 70 people in attendance including 19 families; the t-shirts
will be in mid-October, they are $8.00 each
Date Party – “Night on the Nile”
 Friday, October 5th – 7:00 to 10:00pm or 8:00pm to 11:00pm; Apparel: Egyptian
theme which is not a toga, more robe-ish; Dinner on your own, there will be
snacks provided; The Social committee has met, they are searching for ideas on
decorations.

Young Man Education (Sunday night from 8:00pm to 9:00pm)
 Week Five has the Young Men starting their house improvement project. The
YMOA will complete the project along with a community service event before
they meet again.
CORE
 Brett and Justin have received confirmations from Dr. Bammerlin, Assistant Dean
Roberts, and Dean Bosco to present CORE sessions, the remaining sessions are

Academic & Career Information Center (Michelle), Leadership Studies and
Programs (Todd Wells). Other options include: Senior Men Panel (Nate, Ben,
Brad), Senior Men Financials (Bill, Gary), and Mom Ann.

 Caleb emailed the board to the MOA, will insure the return of the board and then
post on the GIN system
IDPs
 Caleb emailed a reminder to the YMOA about a public version of their IDPs for
posting on the GIN system; IDPs are still needed from each MOA
Intramural Jerseys
 Caleb is taking the lead on different options, independent funding is being
sought.

Curtis said to go ahead and create our own evacuation plans; they are to be
laminated and posted in common areas of the house
 Fire drill needs to happen, at least four times a year
Maintenance Update
 Travis also contacted Curtis about the leak in the library, company will be fixing
 Curtis has ordered blinds for the downstairs sleeping rooms they should be in
this week according to an update from Curtis

 New plates and glasses and silverware need to be organized

 The new part fixed the printer thanks to Bryan, old part to be sent back
