MARY JO SAVIANO
Administrative Director
Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri
Mary Jo Saviano has served the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri for over twenty years.
Mary Jo joined the League staff as a part-time bookkeeper in March 1987. Throughout the
years, Mary Jo has taken on many other roles in the Junior League and now serves as the
Administrative Director. She works closely with the President and provides historical
perspective essential to a volunteer-based organization with annual rotations. In addition, Mary
Jo manages six employees at the Junior League headquarters and an additional eight employees
at the Junior League Resale Boutique.
Mary Jo demonstrates her commitment to the community in other organizations outside the
Junior League as well. She is a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, participating in both the
choir and the Liturgy/Music Committee. As a mother of two daughters, Mary Jo served as a
Girl Scout Leader. She has directed numerous theatrical productions at both the Barn Players
and St. Peter’s Church. Mary Jo supports Harvester’s, Operation Uplift, Good Samaritan
Project and The Free Health Clinic in various ways.
Mary Jo graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She and her husband Joe have two
daughters, Anna and Eva. In her spare time, Mary Jo enjoys traveling, movies, theatre and spending time
with her friends and family.
