OR DRINK ITEMS DURNG SCHOOL HOURS. ALSO, CHECK-OUTS TO GO TO LUNCH ARE NOT PERMITTED
AND WILL BE CONSIDERED UNEXCUSED AND SKIPPING SCHOOL (page 10 of the Student Handbook).
STUDENTS WILL VOTE FOR HOMECOMING QUEEN ON THURSDAY DURING THEIR 3RD PERIOD CLASS.
TEACHERS BE SURE AND CHECK YOUR MAILBOX THURSDAY MORNING FOR BALLOTS AND
INSTRUCTIONS.
The Homecoming Court, Band and Announcers will have will have Homecoming Half-time Corination
practice Thursday during “B” lunch wave.
Themes for Homecoming Week:, Thursday-Nerd Day, Friday-Rebel Spirit Day
Celebrate Your Homecoming this year by attending: “A Night in Paris!” Friday, September 26th after the
football game til midnight. Signup during lunch waves next week. One Student for $6 or two for $10.
The Homecoming Dance is presented by the Boyle County Tennis Team and DJ Tao.
Gridiron Challenge is TOMORROW from 4:00 to 8:00. Test Drive a Ram Truck FREE. Must be 18 and have
a valid Drivers’ License. GREAT FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY! For EACH test drive money WILL BE
donated to BCHS! Be sure and come by!
Youth Salute Forms are due to the Guidance Office by Friday, September 26th.
EKU Dual Credit applications for Spring 2015 are due on November 1. See your counselor to apply.
Focus on WKU is a free program hosted on Western Kentucky University's campus designed to show
prospective students and their families what WKU has to offer. The program takes place Saturday
September 27. See your counselor for more information.
Chess Club dues are $5.00 and due by Friday, September 26th. Please see Ms. Crowell to pay your dues.
Students who wish to join Spanish Club need to pay $5.00 to Mrs. Wheeler or Ms. Hines before the next
club meeting.

Any Sr. who has a 28+ Composite on their ACT needs to sign the list in the guidance office for verification

Bowling 'try-outs' will be next Wednesday and Thursday, October 1st and 2nd from 4-6. At the

TSA MEMBERSHIP REMINDERTSA DUES MUST BE PAID BEFORE THE NEXT WEEK'S MEETING.

The Boyle Co. Health Dept. will be here on Oct. 1st from 7:30-8:30 am to give flu shots. A
sign-up sheet is posted on the teacher’s lounge door, it is not required to sign up but it
gives them an idea of how many shots and people to bring with them. Please bring your
health insurance card or $25.00 if insurance is not being billed.
Sophomores who are interested in being considered for the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Program
need to sign up in Guidance by Friday Sept. 26.
Art Club will meet Tuesday, September 30th. This meeting is for paid members ONLY. Members will be
working on silk scarves.
GSP Information meeting for parents/students will be held Wednesday, September 24th at 3:30 pm in
the library. Please let Junior students know. They may access applications and information at
www.gsp.ky.gov
The U.S. Senate Youth Program offers two student leaders from each state a $5,000 college scholarship
and an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC, to observe the U.S. Senate in action. Interested
students should see your counselor.
Anyone interested in the Scholastic Art& Writing Awards please see Ms. Brosi.
If you are interested in serving as a Legislative Page for the Senate or House of
Representatives in the Legislative Session next spring please stop by the Youth
Service Center for an application from Mrs. Clark.
Math after school homework help is here! Boyle County High School students can take advantage of
free Math homework help from 3:15-4:15 in room 205. This is a free service that will be provided every
Monday through Thursday.
Catch Up Café is in room 130 with Coach Parsons
The BCHS Blood Drive is TODAY! Sponsored by the Y-Club. You must be at least 16 years old and weigh
at least 110 pounds to donate. Register with Mrs. Brosi in room 117. Everyone who signs up gets a FREE
UK T-shirt and a candy bar!
Reminder: Students are NOT allowed to back into parking spaces or pull through 2 spaces. You
are to pull into your single spot ONLY! Students MUST have parking tag properly displayed!!

GUIDANCE
-The PSAT will be given on October 15th and the cost is $16.00. Students will need to sign up in the
Guidance Office.
-Students who are interested in the 2015 Prudential Spirit of Community Award should apply online by
11/4. For information, see your guidance counselor. This award is for any high school student who
significantly contributes to their community through volunteer service.
