We are gearing up for the 2012 Tim Hess Memorial Golf Scramble.
With our stressed economy, we need businesses such as yours to help us succeed!
The Tim Hess Memorial Athletic Scholarship was started in memory of Tim after he died of cancer at
the age of 28. He was a very active 1985 Shelby High School graduate. After competing with football
and track in high school, he helped coach baseball and football at Ashland. He had a great love for
sports. In his memory, we are able to help Shelby High School graduates by donating a yearly
scholarship to a Shelby senior towards their college education.
Each year we hold a golf scramble, which is our sole fundraiser to secure our scholarship fund. This
year we will be awarding our twelfth scholarship to a Shelby graduate! We hope to continue helping
seniors as they plan to go to college, but need some financial assistance. This is where you can help
us succeed by opening your heart and donating to such a worthy cause. These individuals will be our
future community leaders and we would like to help their journey towards a successful career and
future.
We are looking for businesses or individuals that would like to be a Hole Sponsor. For a donation of
$200.00 per hole or $100.00 for a half, we will have printed signs made up with each sponsor’s name
on them and they will be placed at the tee box of a designated hole. For those choosing the half-of-ahole option, you will share the tee box with another business or individual.
We are also looking for local businesses to donate door prizes for this event. This is a great way of
helping the youth of our community and at the same time advertising for your company.
We would like to extend an invitation to golf with us. Our golf scramble will be held on July 21st at
Shelby Country Club. Entry forms can be downloaded from our website or by contacting Dawn and
one will be sent to you.
We would also like the opportunity to show our gratitude for your generosity by posting your name on
our website. We can also set up a link to your business website if you choose. You can view all of our
