Graduate Faculty Reappointment
& Associate Membership Nomination
Submission Process
1. During the first week of September, current members whose Graduate Faculty appointments will
expire the following year will receive an invitation to submit their application for reappointment from
the Office of Graduate Studies.
2. Due dates for forms:
a. All reappointment applications are due to the Office of Graduate Studies no later than the 1 st
Monday in October.
b. All nominations for associate membership are due no later than the 1st Monday in October
during the fall semester or the 1st Monday in March during the spring semester.
3. The Membership Committee will meet to review the reappointments and associate membership
nominations during the 2nd week of October in the fall semester and the 2nd week of March in the
spring semester.
4. The Membership Committee will complete its review by the first week of November (fall)/ first week of
April (spring).
5. The list of reappointments and associate membership nominations approved by the Membership
Committee will be presented at the November/April Graduate Council Meeting for review.
6. The list will be presented at the last Graduate Faculty Meeting of the fall/spring semester where a vote
will take place for final approval.
7. The Office of Graduate Studies sends out notification letters to the candidates by the first week of
January for fall semester candidates and the first week of June for the spring semester candidates.
8. The Office of Graduate Studies will update the Graduate Faculty Membership list that can be found at
http://gradfac.mst.edu/
