All members wishing to run for an office position must have a short 3-minute election speech prepared for the first mandatory meeting 9.8.10 Wednesday at 3p.m. Room #L602- Please let
Mrs. Conrad know if you will be running for an office position some time before 9.8.10
Officers must be committed to all the member duties and meeting attendance
Officers must attend an additional NAHS Officers meeting the first Wednesday of every month
Officer positions and responsibilities are outlined below yet may be subject to change or be modified during the course of the year
Only prior NAHS members may run for president or vice president positions
National Art Honor Society Officer Elect Positions
President
-Responsible for all final society decisions
-Runs member meetings
-Creates meeting agendas
-Society spokesperson-liaison with society and school administration,
students, and teachers, and community
-Edit and submit an Event article to the NAHS national paper
-Event Coordinator: Event contact, records member event attendance, creates & distributes event flyers/handouts/ maps, take photos at events, oversees event maps, reminders, permission slips, sign-up sheets, set-up and confirm events
(reservations, visiting artists…)
Vice President
Assists the president in all the following duties:
-Runs member meetings
-Creates meeting agendas
-Society spokesperson-liaison with society and school administration,
students, and teachers, and community
-Edit and submit an Event article to the NAHS national paper
-Event Coordinator: Event contact, records member event attendance, creates & distributes event flyers/handouts/ maps, take photos at events, oversees event maps, reminders, permission slips, sign-up sheets, set-up and confirm events

Secretary
-Maintain the NAHS bulletin board
-Records meeting minutes
-Writes & delivers reminder and accountability notes to members
including attendance alert letters
-Records meeting attendance
-Creates member directory
-Organize and file all club information
-Email society information
-Write and mail thank-you notes
-Maintains graduation cording list
-Event Coordinator: Event contact, records member event attendance, creates & distributes event flyers/handouts/ maps, take photos at events, oversees event maps, reminders, permission slips, sign-up sheets, set-up and confirm events

Publication Relations
-Write and submit daily announcements for events and meetings
-Create a monthly NAHS event update for the TRHS newsletter
-Write and submit photos and articles for the TRHS newspaper
-Take and submit NAHS yearbook picture
-Take photos at events
-Communication liaison with the community (local Parker and Metro
Denver newspapers and media)
-Update teachers/school about society events (emails, posters…)

Treasurer
-Oversees all NAHS account transactions (balances, deposits,
withdrawals, expenses…)
-Records fund raising accounts and balances
-Organize NAHS account record keeping
-Create and write tax except event and donor letters
-Collect member fees
