ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (SEWAGE AND INDUSTRIAL EFFLUENTS)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1997

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 51 of the Environmental Quality Act 1974 (Act 127),
the Minister, after consultation with the Environmental Quality Council, makes the following
regulations:
1. Citation.
These regulations may be cited as the Environmental Quality (Sewage and Industrial
Effluents) (Amendment) Regulations 1997
2. Amendment of regulation 7.

The Environmental Quality (Sewage and Industrial Effluents) Regulations 1979, which in
these Regulations are referred to as "the principal Regulations", are amended in regulation 7 (a) by substituting for the word "latest" the word "nineteenth"; and
(b) by deleting the words "as amended from time to time".
3. Amendment of Second Schedule.
The Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended by deleting paragraph 2.
