MOISTURE-RESISTANT COUNTERTOPS
GENERAL NOTES TO SPECIFIER:
THIS SPECIFICATION SECTION HAS BEEN PREPARED TO ASSIST DESIGN PROFESSIONALS IN THE PREPARATION OF
PROJECT OR OFFICE MASTER SPECIFICATIONS. IT FOLLOWS GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY THE CONSTRUCTION
SPECIFICATIONS INSTITUTE, AND THEREFORE MAY BE USED WITH MOST MASTER SPECIFICATION SYSTEMS WITH
MINOR EDITING.

PROJECT CONDITIONS
A. Environmental Requirements: Operate HVAC system to maintain occupancy level

49 chemicals, concentrations and required test methods.
b. Acceptable materials shall exhibit no more than 4, Level 3 conditions.

ANSI Z124.3 for Type 5 or 6 without a coated finish, minimum 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick] [As

INSTALLATION

SELECTED IN ARTICLE 1.03 A. 3. SPECIFIER SHOULD BE FAMILIAR WITH THESE REQUIREMENTS IN THE EVENT IT IS
DESIRED TO DELETE, MODIFY OR ADD ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS IN THIS ARTICLE.
A. Install countertops in accordance with [AWI Section 400] [WIC Section 16 and/or 17 as
appropriate to countertop material].
