ATR-IR spectra of Polyimide Films.
The ATR-IR spectra of Polyimide (PI) Films indicate that thermal imidization of these PI films was
completed. The PIs exhibit strong symmetric and asymmetric imide N-CO- stretching peaks at around
1710 and 1770 cm-1, respectively, and they do not exhibit amide C-N peak at around 1540 cm-1.

Calculation of Optical Bandgap of Polyimide Films.
Optical bandgap of PMDA/DATPA, PMDA/ODA and PMDA/DCHM were estimated from the
UV/vis absorption spectra of ca. 1 m-thick films. The arrows in the figures indicate the positions of
bandgap.

The elapsed time dependence of current density of Polyimide Films.
Figures S8-S9 show the elapsed time dependence of current density of PI films in the temperature
range of 40−230°C under a DC electric field of at 5 kVcm-1 and 50 kVcm-1.
