The ATR-IR spectra of Polyimide (PI) Films indicate that thermal imidization of these PI films was completed. The PIs exhibit strong symmetric and asymmetric imide N-CO- stretching peaks at around 1710 and 1770 cm-1, respectively, and they do not exhibit amide C-N peak at around 1540 cm-1. S1 Figure S1. ATR-IR spectra of PI films; (a) PMDA/DATPA, (b) s-BPDA/DATPA, (c) PMDA/ODA, (d) s-BPDA/PPD, (e) PMDA/DCHM and (f) s-BPDA/DCHM. S2 Calculation of Optical Bandgap of Polyimide Films. Optical bandgap of PMDA/DATPA, PMDA/ODA and PMDA/DCHM were estimated from the UV/vis absorption spectra of ca. 1 m-thick films. The arrows in the figures indicate the positions of bandgap. Figure S2. Estimation of optical bandgap of PMDA/DATPA PI film (Egopt = 1.94 eV). Figure S3. Estimation of the optical bandgap of PMDA/ODA PI film (Egopt = 2.70 eV). S3 Figure S4. Estimation of the optical bandgap of PMDA/DCHM PI film (Egopt = 3.40 eV). Figure S5. Estimation of the optical bandgap of s-BPDA/DATPA PI film (Egopt = 2.38 eV). Figure S6. Estimation of the optical bandgap of s-BPDA/PPD PI film (Egopt = 3.10 eV). S4 Figure S7. Estimation of the optical bandgap of s-BPDA/DCHM PI film (Egopt = 3.35 eV). S5 The elapsed time dependence of current density of Polyimide Films. Figures S8-S9 show the elapsed time dependence of current density of PI films in the temperature range of 40−230°C under a DC electric field of at 5 kVcm-1 and 50 kVcm-1. Figure S8.
