1 Curriculum vitae Ljupčo Pejov Ljupčo Pejov was born on 28th July 1972 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. He graduated at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (Institute of Chemistry) in 1996 with the highest average grade (10.00 = A) for studies of Chemistry. The same year he was elected as younger assistant at the Department of Physical Chemistry, Institute of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. He has finished post-graduate studies in 2000 defending his MS thesis: "Vibrational anharmonicity and vibrational Stark effect of isomorphously isolated XY4n- anions in various matrices. Vibrational spectroscopic and quantum theoretical studies". His PhD thesis: "Latent symmetry and accidental degeneracy effects on the vibrational modes of isomorphously isolated tetraoxo anions" was defended in 2002. He was elected as docent in 2002. Ljupčo Pejov has published more than 70 papers, most of which are in SCI Journals (such as: The Journal of Chemical Physics, Journal of Physical Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Chemical Physics Letters, International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Journal of Molecular Liquids, Spectrochimica Acta A, Journal of Molecular Structure, Journal of Molecular Structure (THEOCHEM), Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, Journal of Mathematical Chemistry, Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Science, Vibrational Spectroscopy, Croatica Chemica Acta, etc.). He was a referee of a number of papers for the following Journals: Journal of the American Chemical Society, International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Spectrochimica Acta A, Journal of Molecular Structure, Journal of Chemical Education, Vibrational Spectroscopy, and Internet electronic Journal of Molecular Design. He was awarded the Phoenix award for his scientific achievements in 2003, and the Vita Pop-Jordanova award for the best young scientist in Macedonia in 2004. He has an intensive collaboration with a number of research groups from the University of Uppsala - Sweden, University of Cluj, the "Jozef Stefan" Institute from Ljubljana - Slovenia, the "Rugjer Boskovic" Institute from Zagreb - Croatia etc. His scientific interest is mainly focused on the quantum chemistry and physics as well as on theoretical modeling of related phenomena, including neuronal oscillations and synchronization. 2 List of selected relevant publications: 1.
