GAMMA-RAY PRODUCTION CROSS-SECTION BY INTERACTION OF 13.8 MeV NEUTRONS WITH Cu, W, AND 235U NUCLEI V.M.Gorbachev, V.I.Nagorny, Yu.Ya.Nefedov, A.M.Shvetsov, M.S.Shvrtsov Российский Федеральный ядерный центр Всероссийский научно-исследовательский институт экспериментальной физики, г. Саров Gamma-ray production cross-sections have been measured for Cu, W and 235U at the incident 13.8 MeV neutrons energy. Differential cross-sections are given as a function of gamma-ray energy over the region from 0.5 to 10.0 MeV for the angle between the incident neutrons and the emitted protons of 125°. The measurements were carried out with the use of time-of-flight method and of the spectrometer with big NaI(Tl) crystal. The data were corrected on multiple scattering of neutrons and gamma-rays in a sample. Integral cross-sections errors make up not more than ±10% P=0.95. The differential cross-sections errors are, mainly, in the limits of ±(15-30)% P=0.95. The results are compared with the results of the other authors. CROSS SECTION OF THE FORMATION OF GAMMA RAYS FROM NEUTRON INELASTIC SCATTERING OF ENERGY 3.0 MEV A.I.Lashuk, I.P.Sadokhin Государственный Научный Центр РФ - Физико-энергетический институт, Обнинск Measurements of the gamma rays existed by neutron inelastic scattering on Na, Si, Al, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Cd, W, Pb and Bi have been carried out by use of the conventional ring and disk scatterer geometry from a neutron energy 3 MeV. A NaI scintillation spectrometer has been used to observe gamma rays. In most cases these gamma rays can be fitted into known level schemes of the target nuclides. THE MEASUREMENTS UF 117Sn RESONANCE PARAMETERS IN THE ENERGY RANGE 405000 eV G.P.Georgiev, H.Fajkov-Stanchik, The neutron radiative capture measurements for enriched isotope 117Sn are performed at the neutron spectrometer LNPh JINR by a gamma-rays multiplicity method using the multi.sectional 4-detector "Romashka" placed on the 500 m flight path of the IBR-30 booster. The gamma-multiplicity spectra of resolved rcsonances were obtained in the energy range from 40 eV to 5000 eV. The mean gamma-ray.s multiplicity was determined the energy, the average multiplicity, the spin and the radiative width for each resonance. THE DEFlNITION OF SPINS OF INDIUM ISOTOPES BY MEANS OF GAMMA-LINE INTENSITIES Yu.V.Grigor’ev, Государственный научный цнтр - Физико-энергетический институт, г. Обнинск G.P.Georgiev, N.A.Gundorin, H.Fajkov-Stanchik, Hen Syn Ho Объединенный институт ядерных исследований, г.Дубна N.V.Yaneva Институт ядерных исследований и ядерной энергетики, г. София Gamma rays in the range 150-1500 keV have been studied for s-wave neutron ressonancess of 113In and 115 In, selected by time of flight in the range 1-100 eV. The measurement were carried out at the pulsed neutron booster IBR-30 of JINR in Dubna on the 60 m flight path. The spins for 6 resonances of 115In have been assigned by measuring intensity variation of some strong low-energy transitions. On the base of the previous experiment statements we determined the spins torn the ratios between the intensities of the transitions at 273 keV and 186 keV and of the triplet at 171175 keV. In the case 113In we chose under consideration the ratios line intensity at 307 keV, 287.4 keV and 341 keV. In this way the information on the spins for eight resonances of 113In was obtained for the first time. SOME CRITERIA FOR SELECTION OF EVALUATED THRESHOLD REACTION EXCITATION FUNCTIONS V.N. Manokhin Institute of Physics and Power Engineering, Obninsk, Russia Some empirical systematics of excitation function shapes and cross sections of neutron induced threshold reactions at the maximum of excitation functions are described. ON POSSIBLE CONTRIBUTION OF KNOCKOUT PROCESS AND INELASTIC SCATTERING WITH EXCITATION OF ANOMALY PARITY STATES IN NEUTRON EMISSION SPECTRA V.P.Lunev, V,G,Pronyaev, S.P.Simakov Institute of Physics and Power Engineering, Obninsk, Russia In the framework of semi-microscopical approach, based on shell model for description of transitional densities for states, distorted waves for incoming and outgoing particles and consistent effective interaction, the contribution of the knockout process and inelastic scattering with excitation of anomaly parity states into neutron emission spectra are evaluated. The calculations were done for 26 MeV neutrons induced on 93Nb and 209Bi and results of calculations added by contribution of other reaction mechanisms were compared with existing experimental data. Although, the account of these two new reaction mechanisms improves the description of experimental data, the obtained quantitative results due to used approximations are preliminary. More accurate calculations which do not apply some approximations of these work are required. DEPENDENCE OF THE TOTAL NEUTRON CROSS SECTIONS FOR EVEN-EVEN NUCLEI 112124 Sn AT LOW ENERGIES ON THE MASS NUMBER D.A.Zaikin, M.V.Mordovskoy, I.V.Surkova ГНЦ " Институт ядерных исследований РАН" Low energy neutron total cross sections for the tin even isotopes with A=112-124 are analysed in the framework of the two-phonon version of the coupled channel optical model. A unified description of these cross sections has been obtained. Results of this analysis give an evidence in favour of the assumption that the neutron number N=64 is a magic one, i.e. 114Sn is a twice magic nucleus. HELIUM PRODUCTION NEUTRON CROSS SECTION DATA LIBRARY K.I.Zolotarev, V.N.Manokhin, A.B.Pashchenko*), M.V.Scripova Institute of Physics and Power Engineering, Obninsk *) International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, Austria A knowledge of neutron-induced He-3 and He-4 production reaction cross sections for neutron energies up to 20 MeV is of considerable importance both for present day fission reactors and future fusion reactors. The data are needed for various calculations concerning the prediction of helium gas production in structural materials. In the Russian Nuclear Data Center in cooperation with the IAEA Nuclear Data Section the Library of neutron induced helium production cross sections was formed. The library contains evaluated data for total helium production cross sections and excitation functions of (n,), (n,n'), (n,He3) reactions and some other helium production partial reactions for 29 elements and their isotopes. Evaluation were performed on the basis of experimental data, theoretical model calculations and newly developed systematics for (n,) reaction. EFFECTS OF TRANSPORT APPROXIMATION IN REACTIVITY COEFFICIENTS IN LARGE FAST REACTOR WITH SODIUM PLENUM V.A.Grabezhnoy, A.V.Danilychev, D.G.Elistratov, V.A.Korneev, V.V.Korobejnikov, V.Yu.Stogov Institute of Physics and Power Engineering, Obninsk The corrections contribution to the main reactivity coefficients are studied, in the reactor being optimized according to maximum safety and self-protection conditions going over from diffusion approximation to transport one. It is shown that Fuck's law using for gradient elements in the calculations of material efficiencies on the common boundary (core/sodium plenum), which characterized sharply different neutron-physical characteristics, give sufficiently strong error. The values of calculation corrections introduction for the calculation of reactivity components, connecting with temperature expansion of core materials, including space distribution of given corrections for accident processes, increase the calculation degree of reactor self-protections.
