Unit 1a: Laws of Exponents
I CAN: simplify expressions containing integer exponents
use the properties of exponents to simplify an expression
simplify powers that have zero and negative exponents
use the properties of exponents to justify each step in simplifying an expression
WHY?: We can use exponents to determine how many great-great-great-grandparents
you have.
