TUITION REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
Any employee with 12 months of continuous service, whose current job
performance is, at least, at the satisfactory level, is eligible for tuition
reimbursement as follows:

The course of study must be directly and specifically related to the
skills required for either the employee’s current position or
another position at the Non-Profit Organization. The course of
study must be in an accredited institution, at the college level or
above, though a non-credit course may quality (e.g., seminar,
workshop). Pre-approval shall be required by the Executive
Director .
Individuals must be employed at the time of course completion
and remain employed at least one (1) year following completion to
be eligible for reimbursement.
Depending on the availability of funds, reimbursement will
include in whole or in part for tuition payments and normal
registration, provided Non-Profit Organization grants approval in
advance of beginning such instruction. Tuition payments shall be
based on a sliding scale that takes into account years of continuous
service at the Non-Profit Organization and immediate application
to responsibilities at the Non-Profit Organization. Tuition
payments shall be limited to a maximum of $500.00 per year per
person.
A written agreement shall be signed by the Executive Director and
the employee regarding tuition reimbursement and the obligation
to repay such reimbursement if the employee does not meet the
criteria in #2 above.
Payment for reimbursement shall be made when evidence of satisfactory
completion of approved course work along with proof of payment is
submitted to the Executive Director.
