Scholarships for International Students Rider University is pleased to announce these scholarships opportunities for international students enrolling for Fall 2007. If you meet the criteria and qualifications, you will automatically receive the award; no additional scholarship application is required. Freshmen Scholarships To be considered for these scholarships, you must: Submit a completed application for admission u February 1, 2007; be regularly admissible to the University as a full-time student; have been actively involved in your high school and/or local community have a minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 21; and have a minimum GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Note: Scholarships eligibility for Westminster Choir College applicants is determined by a combined admission score comprised of the student`s GPA, SAT or ACT score and competitive audition results. Submission of SAT I or ACT results is strongly encouraged for all freshmen, international applicants. For applicants who choose not to submit these scores, scholarship is at the discretion of the admission committee. PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP $15,000 Annual Award Average GPA 3.50 Average SAT/ACT 1250/28 GPA to Maintain Award 3.00 PROVOST SCHOLARSHIP Awards Range from $12,000 to 14,000 Annually Average GPA 3.25 Average SAT/ACT 1150/25 GPA to Maintain Award 2.75 DEAN`S SCHOLARSHIP Awards Range from $9,000 to 11,000 Annually Average GPA 3.00 Average SAT/ACT 1050/23 GPA to Maintain Award 2.60 FOUNDER`S SCHOLARSHIP Awards range from $6,000 to $7,000 Annually Average GPA 3.00 Average SAT/ACT 1000/21 GPA to Maintain Award 2.50 Transfer Scholarships To be considered for one of our academic scholarships, you must: 1. be regularly admissible to the University as a full-time student; 2. have a qualifying GPA based on a 4.0 scale; 3. have completed at least 12 credits of coursework at the college level of study; 4. submit your completed application for admission, including fee, essay, 2 letters of recommendation, and official transcripts, by the deadline (Fall 2007: April 1, 2007) 5. submit your deposit on or before the deposit deadline (Fall 2007: June 1, 2007) The amount of $7,500 per year in the forms of grants and scholarships to students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. Maximum award is $25.500. The amount of $5,000 per year in the forms of grants and scholarships to students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Maximum award is $15.000. The amount of $3,500 per year in the forms of grants and scholarships to students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. Maximum award is $10.500. The amount of $2,500 per year in the forms of grants and scholarships to students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Maximum award is $7.500. Renewable up to three years if recipient maintains full-time status and a minimum GPA. Important Notes: If you qualify for more than one Rider scholarship, you will receive the award of the greatest monetary value. Academic scholarships are subject to change. Rider only considers the critical reading and math components of the SAT; also, ACT scores are composite. Cumulative GPA through the seventh semester, December ACT, and January SAT will be the latest academic information considered for the awards.
