CUBS Girls and Boys (born 2001/2002)
Free program only:
2.30 minutes ± 10 sec.
1. Maximum of five (5) jump elements
- at least one (1) Axel type jump
- at least one (1) and maximum two (2) jump combinations or jump sequences
- only one jump combination may consist of three (3) jumps
2. At least two (2) and maximum three (3) spins of different nature
- there must be one (1) spin combination (with one (1) change of foot and at least
one (1) change of position; 4+4 revolutions)
- all other spins must be minimum of four (4) revolutions
3. Step sequence (straight line, circular or serpentine).
SPRINGS Girls and Boys (born 1999/2000)
Free program only:
girls 2.30 minutes ± 10 sec.
boys 3.00 minutes ± 10 sec.
1. Maximum of five (5) jump elements for girls and six (6) for boys
- at least one (1) Axel type jump
- at least one (1) and maximum two (2) jump combinations or jump sequences
- at least one (1) of jump combinations or jump sequences must consist of double 2x
jumps.
- only one jump combination may consist of three (3) jumps
2. Three (3) spins of different nature
- one (1) must be a jump spin, five (5) revolutions
- one (1) must be a spin combination with one change of foot and at least one (1)
changes of position: (5+5 revolutions)
- one (1) spin is free of choice, min. five (5) revolutions
3. Step sequence (straight line, circular or serpentine).
DEBS Girls and Boys (born 1997/1998)
Free program only:
girls 3.00 minutes ± 10 sec.
boys 3.30 minutes ± 10 sec.
1. Maximum of six (6) jump elements for girls and maximum seven (7) for boys
- at least one (1) Axel type jump
- at least one (1) and maximum two (2) jump combinations or jump sequences
- only one (1) jump combination may consist of three (3) jumps
- only two (2) different triple (3x) jumps may be repeated in a jump combination or a
jump sequence
2. At least three (3) spins of different nature
- one must be a spin combination one change of foot and at least one (1) changes of
position: (10 revolutions in total).
- one (1) flying spin without change of foot and change of position (minimum of six
(6) revolutions)
- one (1) spin is free of choice, min. six (6) revolutions
3. Step sequence (straight line, circular or serpentine).
NB! Additional information concerning some changes in ISU Judging System
(in relation to very young age categories):
1. Duration of music – 0.5 points deduction for every 5 seconds in excess
2. In all categories listed above the following three (3) components are judged in
the second mark:
skating skills
transitions
performance, program composition, music interpretation
3. Any jump may be repeated only twice (2), where as there may be up two (2)
Axel type jumps in a program
4. Jump sequence may consist of any number of jumps, but only two (2) most
difficult jumps will be counted.

NOVICE Girls and Boys (born between July 1st1995 June
30th 2000)
Short program girls and boys max 2:30
The Short Program for Girls’ Singles consists of the following elements:
a. 1 Axel or 2 Axel
b. One jump combination consisting of a two double jump(2+2) , or double jump and
triple jump (2+3, 3+2).
c. One double or triple jump immediately preceded by connecting steps and/or other
comparable free skating movements
d. Spin combination with only one (1) change of foot and at least one change of
position(minimum of five (5) revolutions on each foot). The minimum number of
revolutions
required in a position is two (2). In case this requirement is not
fulfilled, the position is not counted
e. Layback or sideways leaning spin (minimum of six (6) revolutions) for ladies.
/Camel or sit spin (minimum of six (6) revolutions). Change of foot is optional. No
flying entrance for men.
f. Step sequence (straight line, circular or serpentine).
Free program: girls 3.00 min. ± 10 sec.
boys 3.30 min. ± 10 sec.
