Physical/Personal Characteristics of
Telemachos: The island of Ithica is known
for its abundance of livestock and its
beautiful scenery. What you might not
expect to find is a gorgeous young prince
named Telemachos. As the picture to the
left shows “he dressed himself, slung a
sharp sword over his shoulder, strapt a
stout pair of boots to his lissom feet, and
came forth from his chamber like a young
god" (15). Son of the great Odysseus and
Queen Penelope, this young man is
creating waves on the small island.
Women all over Ithica go wild for his freeflowing, chocolate brown hair. The
women of the island long to stare into his hazel eyes which contrast his
beautiful tan skin. His eyes are so gorgeous that even Athena said
when she talked to him, “are you really his son - a boy as big as you the
son of Odysseus? You seem terribly like him, that head and those fine
eyes of yours - I can see him now!”(8). His hard work in his fields is
shown through his built biceps and ripped abdomens. As the son of a
handsome king, it is clear to see he has inherited the great genetics his
father once had. Telemachos is also known for his memorable
politeness, like when Homer wrote, “Telemachos answered with his
usual good manners:” (11).
Telemachos’ Interests/ Hobbies: As a young man growing up without a
father, Telemachos has a knack for sailing boats. He is adventurous and
tends to work for what he wants. He also shows much potential with
using spears and swords; two tools his father is very skilled with.
What is Telemachos Looking For? So who is his dream girl? Though
he has girls running behind him following his every step, Telemachos
is especially attracted to one type of girl in particular. According to our
interviewer, the tall and handsome Telemachos prefers girls with long
black shiny locks, and shining blue eyes the color of the sea. One he
will remember when he is sailing over the deep blue waters of the
Mediterranean, on his journey to search for his long lost father, the
infamous Odysseus. He wants a smart and strong woman, who will
take charge in the house; a woman who will match his level of
