Integrated Math Project: solving equations

Your job is to teach an algebra 1 student how to solve equations. You can
create a publishable booklet. You also need to make a quiz to make sure they
understand how to do it.
Your booklet/script must have
1. a cover page
2. On each page a written explanation on how to solve the type of
problem.
3. at least one page for 1 step equations with an example for each:
multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, and fractions.
4. at least one page for 2 step equations with 4 examples.
5. At least one page for the distributive property with 2 examples.
6. At least one page for combining like terms with 2 examples.
7. At least one page for what to do when there is an x on both sides with
4 examples.
8. A final quiz
9. An answer key to the quiz
10. You must be able to read everything. All explanations must follow the
conventions of standard written English.
11. Examples must be worked out, with explanations/words describing
each step.
12. Extra points will be awarded for color and unique presentation.
13. Your examples can not be directly out of your notes
14. Your booklet cannot look exactly like any other persons project (
written work and examples)
15. Your name must be on the back of the booklet
