Dean's List Policy
Academic Distinction
The College of Southern Nevada is committed to supporting and recognizing student
achievement. The Dean’s List identifies and recognizes students who have demonstrated
academic excellence. In addition to the distinction of being identified as an honoree, the
notation "Dean's List" will be posted to the student’s official transcript for the qualified
semester.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List, the requirements are:
1. Completion of at least 6 credits during the eligible semester with grades on the
ABCDF scale,
2. Courses taken must be 100 level and above.
3. Semester grade point average and designation:
a. 3.3 to 3.59
b. 3.6 to 3.99
c. 4.0

Faculty Senate requests that this policy go into effect no later than Fall 2009.
