Pam was part of the Pinckney Players’ family for many years. In addition to being a talented
actress who could sing and dance, she was also a gifted painter who for many years painted our
Pinckney Players’ sets. She touched so many of us with her endless smile and positive outlook on
life. In May 2009, in her memory, we started the Scholarship for the Arts.
In the fourth year of Pinckney Players’ Scholarship for the Arts, one (1) scholarship will be
awarded to high school senior who intends to pursue a career related to acting. A $500 college
scholarship will be presented to a high school senior that has been selected in accordance to the
following rules:
 Each year the Pinckney Players will accept up to 30 qualified applicants on a first come
basis. Deadline for applications will be April 1, 2015.
 Applicant must be a high school senior who plans to attend a Michigan college or
university full-time with a major or minor in theatre and have an acceptance letter.
 Applicant must provide their most recent transcripts showing certification of a GPA of 2.75
or better.
 Applicant must have two letters of recommendation from any source along with an essay of
one hundred words or less stating how being a part of a theatre group has affected their life.
 If not a Livingston County resident, the applicant must be sponsored by a current Pinckney
Player member.
 In the event of a tie between two applicants for the scholarship, an audition will be required.
The winners will be contacted by phone and/or e-mail by May 1. The scholarship certificates will
be given to the high school of the recipients so that they can be presented as part of the schools’
scheduled honors assemblies. A check subsequently will be issued to the college or university of
the recipient(s). The Campau family will be notified of the winners.
