HOLLIDAY HS SCHOLARSHIP POSTINGS
The Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation offers the “Bingo Kinder
Endowed Scholarship”. This is a scholarship that was established 4 years
ago for graduating seniors in Archer County. We have had several students
receive generous scholarships from this foundation and I strongly recommend
that all of my students apply for this.
You can pick up the paper application or apply online at www.wfacf.org (just
designate the “Bingo Kinder” award)
Applications must be received by March 1, 2014
Sam Walton Community Scholarship- http://foundation.walmart.com/ourfocus/associate-scholarships. The Walmart Foundation offers scholarship
programs that benefit qualified Walmart associates and their high school
senior dependents. While our scholarships are not available to the public, the
Walmart Foundation also provides opportunities for aspiring students by
supporting organizations such as the American Indian College Fund, Asian &
Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund, Hispanic Scholarship Fund,
Thurgood Marshall College Fund and others.
2014 Most Valuable Student Scholarship –Elks National Foundation, Inc. due December 6, 2013. Paper applications are available in my office.
Texas Student Housing Scholarship- for students attending college in Austin,
College Station, Denton or San Marcos. Application deadline is January 31,
2014.
Santa Rosa Telephone Cooperative Scholarship: Must be a member of the
Santa Rosa telephone group (use their service). You can download a form at
www.frs.org or pick one up in my office. The deadline is February 3, 2014.
Burger King Scholars Program: must be a high school senior with a GPA of
2.5 or higher, are planning to enroll in a two year or four year college or a

Criteria: GPA of 3.0 or higher
Plans to major in the Earth/ Environmental Science field at a four year

Sheppard Officers’ Spouses Club Scholarship – Deadline APRIL 6th
Criteria: Must be a legal dependant, son, or daughter of US military personnel
(Active duty, retired or deceased, officer or enlisted)
SAT/ ACT scores, transcript, and letter from the school counselor

Slough Foundation Deadline APRIL 1st
Criteria: financial need as shown on FAFSA, Essay, transcript, must enroll for at least 12
hours the first semester of college

Imagine – Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship Program
Criteria: FFA member, family involved in agriculture field, ACT/SAT scores, plan on
pursuing a career in agriculture

Texas Department of Transportation Conditional Grant Program
Criteria: Plans on pursuing a career in civil engineering, computer science, or computer
information systems at a Texas four-year public college or university.See me for application
LOCAL HOLLIDAY SCHOLARSHIPS:

ATPE Scholarships: Association of Texas Professional Educators Scholarships – local
committee decision based on application and essay. ($500 - $250 per semester)
PTO Scholarships: Parent Teacher Organization – local committee decision based on
application and essay. ($500 - $250 per semester)
Ramsey Looper Memorial Scholarship: Primary consideration for students who have
been actively involved in FFA or agricultural studies throughout high school.
Kay Lucy Theatre Department Scholarship: Given through the HHS Theatre dept. for
students who have been actively involved in the theatre program.
FCCLA Scholarship: Application through FCCLA based on involvement in the
program.
Athletic Booster Club Scholarships: For students who have been actively involved in
athletics throughout all four years of high school. (Usually given to one boy and one girl)
Holliday Band Parents Association Scholarships: Application through the band
program – based on band involvement throughout high school.
Wilma Whitehead Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to students based on application
information and financial need.
Dan & Maxine Owen Memorial Scholarship - $500 will be awarded
Jess Wayne Lynch Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to students based on application
information and financial need.
Colby Cook “TAKE FLIGHT” Memorial Scholarship: Students who have been
involved in athletics throughout high school are eligible to apply.
