SALEO promotes post-secondary, for credit, educational course work in the fields of logistics, supply chain management, transportation, inventory control, warehousing, marketing, logistics management and other areas of study that fall under the logistics and supply chain management field.

Additionally, SALEO encourages working individuals who seek to become certified or degreed in the
Logistics and Supply Chain
Management fields to apply for a scholarship. Often, a certificate or degree is a step toward advancement in your current company or the documentation needed to pursue new opportunities.
All Applicants must show proof of registration in a Logistics and/or
Supply Chain Management field of study for the semester beginning
January 2016.
A minimum of two (2) scholarships are awarded in the amount of
$1,000 each for applicants currently enrolled full time in a two or four-year College with a designated major in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management field. Noteworthy, however, is that eleven scholarships were awarded for this past January. Scholarships of $500 each are available for parttime students studying the same subjects, provided they are taking two such courses.
All scholarship monies awarded by
SALEO are sent directly to the
Office of Financial Assistance at the college or university the recipient attends.
SALEO scholarship monies are disbursed prior to the start of the
January 2016 semester.
1. Students must meet the following:
a) Freshmen/entering students must show proof of a combined
SAT score of 1040 or above, or be in the top 50% of their high school graduating class.
b) Students who have completed their first year of college or university must provide an official transcript showing an established grade point average of 2.5, or above, out of a possible 4.0
c) Applicants must be full time students enrolled in and completing a minimum of twelve
(12) semester hours per 16-week semester or part-time students completing six (6) semester hours either per one 16-week semester or over two such semesters consecutively.

Each applicant must show proof of a college/university generated
Individual Education Plan (IEP) showing a minimum of six (6) credit hours of scheduled course work in Business Operations,
Marketing, General Business,
Transportation, Physical
Distribution, or some combination of these subjects.
3. Each scholarship recipient is asked to attend the Saturday,
Oct. 17 th Award Presentation at the
2015 Scholarship Tournament in
Tucson, AZ. Further details will be provided when scholarship recipients are notified of an award.
The following must be sent together, in one envelope, in order to be considered:
1. Completed application form signed and dated in ink.
2. Official transcript from your most current, completed school enrollment. Students graduating high school in 2015 must also include an official copy of their SAT scores or a certified document from their high school indicating a graduating class ranking in the
upper 50% of their graduating class.
3. List of academic awards, honors and achievements; include membership and elected positions in academic organizations.
4. List of extracurricular activities
5 . List of work experience, both paid and voluntary.
The items described above and in the following must be sent together, in one envelope, in order to be considered:
6. A typed, 250 word essay describing, in your own words, your career goals in the logistics and supply chain management industry and detailing how a certificate, Associate degree or

Each envelope must contain only one complete set of required documents for one scholarship applicant. Please do not combine
completed document sets in one envelope.
All scholarship documents must be postmarked before Sept. 15 in order to be considered.
The SALEO Scholarship
Committee individually evaluates each completed scholarship application and the associated documents for accuracy, completeness and essay quality.
Individual scholarship applicants may be asked to schedule an interview session with the SALEO Scholarship Committee.
SALEO Scholarship recipients are notified of an award by a member of the Scholarship
Committee on or before October 5,
2015.
SALEO reserves the right to photograph scholarship recipients for use on our website and for possible use in print publications.
Students may apply each year for a scholarship, regardless of a previous award.
SALEO strives to update our
Scholarship application and process by February of each year.
