AT&T Scholarship – Junior and Senior business majors; 3.5 Overall GPA; Louisiana resident; U.S. Citizen
Ben Terrell Memorial – Junior and Senior Finance majors; Overall GPA 2.5; U.S. Citizen; award continues
until graduation as long as recipient maintains academic eligibility.
Calvin Hays, Jr. – Junior and Senior Accounting majors; Overall GPA 3.0; Louisiana resident and U.S.
Citizen; award continues until graduation as long as recipient maintains academic eligibility.
C. Marshall Abadie Memorial – Junior and senior business majors with interests in a career in financial
services or banking. Overall GPA 2.5; award continues until graduation; recipient must maintain overall GPA
requirements each semester.
Charles W. Carwile – College of Business majors; Overall GPA 3.0; Incoming freshmen ACT score 22; No
residency requirement; award continues until graduation if recipient maintains academic eligibility.
Delta Downs/Boyd Gaming – Business majors with minimum 50 hours earned; U.S. Citizenship; Overall GPA
3.0; Maximum five semesters awarded; preference to applicants with demonstrated need; preference to minority
students interested in career with Boyd Gaming; recipient to maintain overall GPA 3.0 and full time enrollment.
Dr. Michael Kurth – Finance majors; Overall GPA 3.25: Must have minimum of 18 hours earned at 300 levels
and above; scholarship awarded for two semesters; recipient must maintain 3.25 overall GPA; preference to
applicants’ w/need or applicants who work to pay for school.
E.C. Schindler Memorial – Junior Accounting majors; Overall GPA 2.5; Louisiana resident and U.S. Citizen;
award continues until graduation as long as recipient maintains academic eligibility.
Gragson, Casiday, and Guillory – Senior Accounting majors; Overall GPA 3.0; U.S. Citizen; awarded for a
maximum of two semesters or until graduation, whichever comes first.
Hollins Family Scholarship – Junior or Senior business majors; 3.0 GPA in major courses; award continues
until graduation as long as recipient maintains academic eligibility.
Judy and Bill Fuller – Freshman business majors; 2.5 GPA; U.S. Citizen; award continues until graduation as
long as recipient meets GPA requirement.
Lake Charles Society of LA CPA’s – Junior and Senior Accounting majors; Overall GPA 3.0; U.S. Citizen; to
be screened by Scholarship Committee and selected by Accounting Department Head;
Lillie Mae Langley – Junior, Senior and Graduate Accounting majors; U.S. Citizen; award continues until
graduation.

Merrill Lynch Finance and Accounting – Finance or Accounting majors with preference to Finance; Juniors
or Seniors with preference to Juniors; Overall GPA 3.0; Must have graduated from a high school in Allen,
Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron or Jeff Davis parishes; U.S. Citizen; awarded up to four semesters or until
graduation, whichever comes first; recipient must maintain 3.0 GPA each semester to retain award.
Mike Demarie – Freshman Business majors with elective course(s)
in insurance or an interest in a long term career in the field of insurance. Must be Louisiana resident and U.S.
Citizen. Overall GPA 3.5, maintain 3.5 GPA each semester. Recipient retains scholarship each semester as long
as eligibility requirements are met.
M. J. Love – Incoming Freshman business majors with overall 3.0 GPA; preference given to applicants with
demonstrated financial need; award continues until graduation as long as recipient maintains academic
eligibility.
Philo Brasher Memorial – Junior and Senior Accounting majors; Overall GPA 3.0; Louisiana resident and
U.S. Citizen; award continues until graduation as long as recipient maintains academic eligibility.
Richard D. Theunissen Memorial Scholarship – 3.0 Overall GPA; Accounting major; Junior; U.S. Citizen;
Resident of Calcasieu or Jeff Davis parish; Scholarship committee selects with input from Accounting
Department Chair.
Southwest Louisiana State Farm Insurance – Junior and Senior business majors; Overall GPA 2.75;
Residents of Calcasieu, Cameron, Jeff Davis, Beauregard, Allen, St. Landry and Acadia parishes; award
continues until graduation as long as recipient maintains academic eligibility.
Theodore Witherspoon Petersen – Junior and Senior business majors; Semester GPA 3.0; Overall GPA 3.0;
Residency – Open; Selection by donor after application screening by committee; Must maintain academic
