CUMBERLAND NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP The Cumberland National Honor Society Scholarship is a one-time award of $1,000 to be used to further the winner’s education at any accredited college or university. The Scholarship criteria are as follows: a. Applicants must be graduating seniors in the Class of 2012 in the following high schools along the National Road. Altamont Brownstown Casey-Westfield St. Elmo Cumberland Effingham St. Anthony Effingham High School Teutopolis Dieterich Marshall Martinsville b. The recipient shall be a person of outstanding character, conduct, and achievement. c. The recipient shall have at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.00 system or its equivalent. d. Announcement of the 2012 winner will be made at the Toledo Ball Diamonds during the Freedom Day Celebration at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 30, 2012. The actual financial payment, however, will not be made until the winner has successfully completed his/her first semester and has enrolled for the second semester at an accredited college of his/her choice.
