Summary of community involvement, leadership Please summarize instances of such activities in your life. Notification of awards and note of appreciation to the donor If you are selected for a scholarship, the chair of the Department of English will notify you and provide you with information about the donor’s interests in helping students. Before scholarship funds will be deposited into your account, you will need to submit two copies of a letter in which you introduce yourself to the donor and express your appreciation for the scholarship. The deadline for the letters is April 15. Payment of scholarships Scholarships are paid to the Office of Financial Aid, where they are applied to your tuition or other university expenses. If there is a remainder, the Office of Financial Aid will issue a check to the scholarship winner.
