PSC 101 or HIST 101 & 102 or HIST 101 & 217 Additional Comments Entrance into the BAS Graphic Communications Program requires a student to have completed an associate’s degree in Computer Technology with a Graphic Communications emphasis, or advisor approval. Since this is a 2+2 program that brings in the associate’s degree intact, the only specific non-technology lower division requirements are Speech, the constitution requirement, and the English and Math courses required as prerequisites for upper division courses. Please note: Students who graduate from an NSHE community college with an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or an Associate of Business degree will receive automatic fulfillment of lower division general education requirements at GBC unless specific general education courses are required for completion of the student's bachelor’s degree. Visit http://www.gbcnv.edu/catalog/ for details on GBC degree requirements - To graduate in four years, you must work with your academic advisor at WNC in addition to contacting a GBC advisor in order to make a successful transition to GBC. You may transfer to GBC prior to gaining your associate’s degree at WNC, and still complete your WNC degree by completing a reverse transfer, or exploring associate degree options once at GBC. Talk with your academic advisors at WNC and GBC about this opportunity. - A candidate for a bachelor's degree at GBC must earn a minimum of 120 credits, 42 or more of which must be in courses numbered 300 or above. A minimum of 60 credits must be taken at a 4-year institution with a minimum of 32 credits in residence at GBC. For more information you may view the catalog at www.gbcnv.edu/catalog. - Beyond applying to GBC, there is an additional simple application process for acceptance to the BAS Program. Acceptance to the program requires an associate’s degree and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
