current information to improve patient care
and increase healthcare provider confidence
on a variety of pain topics.
Upon completion of this learning activity,
participants will be able to:
1. Describe evidence based approaches for
difficult pain management situations such as
acute pain management for the patient with
chronic pain, pain resulting from spinal cord
injury and complex wound pain.
2. Evaluate different pharmacologic pain
management options including methadone,
multimodal and topical therapies.
Target Audience includes all healthcare
providers interested in pain management.
