form, we will contact you to come in for an interview. Teen will be contacted by email to set up an interview March 23,
2014 – May 22, 2015. Every volunteer must interview.

Written Questionnaire: (For new Volunteers only. Use separate sheet, if necessary.) There will also be verbal
questions ask during every interview.

ORIENTATION is mandatory. In depth details of camp, policies, rules and facility tour will be given during orientation.
Date of orientation will be sent along with the scheduling of your interview. Orientation is usually scheduled during the last
day of school for MCPS.
Responsibilities
As a volunteer for the Art Camp, you would be responsible for:
 Checking in at the camp facility by 7:45 or 2:00 pm am each day of camp.
 Assisting the instructor you are assigned to in set-up and clean-up.
 Bringing your own lunch and drink.
 Being attentive and proactive in the classroom.
 Remaining on the facility until the end of the camp day at 3:30pm or 7:00 pm.
 Volunteering for the entire duration of the session(s) selected/assigned to you.
 Notifying VisArts office (301)315-8200 immediately if you are sick and/or unable to volunteer.
 Turning off cell phone and not using it during camp day.
 Having no friends or family visit you at the camp facility during the camp day.

I understand that the VisArts Kids Create! Summer Art Camp is a drug-free, smoke-free and alcohol-free school
environment and I agree to abide by the above rules and regulations.

fully informed of the responsibilities of my camp positions, including but not limited to the following:
- Manage a group up to 15 children
- Listening to instructions to help the children follow through
- Ensuring the children’s safety at all time
- Assist Instructors with class projects
- Help with set up and clean up
- Help with arrival and dismissal
- Keeping track of your hours (Signing In and Out)

regulations given to me, a warning slip will be give. Each warning slip given, 15 minutes will be deducted from my time
sheet. If I receive more then 4 warnings, I can be asked to leave my position as VisArts Camp Volunteer.
