STUDENTS
All graduate students, including part-time students, must complete the following

McMaster. A graduate student may not obtain a graduate degree at McMaster or
register for subsequent years of their program without having completed these
courses.
SGS 101* Academic Research Integrity and Ethics
Register on SOLAR for SGS 101*
The purpose of this course is to ensure that the standards and expectations of academic
integrity and research ethics are communicated early and are understood by incoming
students. In the event a student fails this course, they must retake it at the earliest
opportunity within the first year of study of their academic program.
SGS 201# Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
Training

Having an understanding of how we can identify and reduce attitudinal, structural,
information, technological, and systemic barriers to persons with disabilities is core to
McMaster University’s commitment to supporting an inclusive community in which all
persons are treated with dignity and equality, and completion of AODA training is critical
as McMaster’s graduates move forward in their varied, chosen professions.
