8th Grade Todd Webster Todd has been married to his wife Terri for 16 years; they have 2 girls Madison and Tara. This is Todd’s 3rd season with the Marian feeder program; his first was as an assistant coach for Tara’s 6th grade team and last year as Head Coach of the 7th grade team. In addition to coaching a few years of PAL basketball Todd also coached soccer and softball as the girls were growing up. Mike Mingo Mike has been married to his wife Kathy for 17 years. They have 2 children; Maddie who will be going into 8th Grade & Cole who will be going into 6th Grade at St. Patrick’s in Elkhorn. He has previously coached basketball for his children's teams at various levels. He was an assistant coach for one of the Marian 7th Grade feeder teams last year. In addition to basketball, Mike is the Head Track & Field Coach at Omaha Burke High School. He is currently an 8th grade Marian Jr. Crusader assistant coach. Dave Schmidt Dave has been married to his wife Marian Varsity Head Coach Lisa Schmidt for 13 years. Dave received his coaching degree from Wayne State College. His first coaching job was in baseball as the head coach for the Fremont Parks and Recreation. While working for the Fremont Parks and Recreation Dave coached nine different teams ranging in age from 1rst grade to freshmen in high school. Last season Dave was a co-head coach for the Marian Junior Crusaders 8th grade team. Chris Shaffer Chris and his wife, Cathi, have 3 daughters: Madeline, Hannah, and Sophia. The family belongs to St. Wenceslaus Parish, where the girls attend school. Chris is entering his 2nd season as Marian Jr. Crusader Coach and his 9th season of coaching youth basketball, previously coaching at the YMCA, JCC, and St. Wenceslaus. He has also coached recreational and select youth soccer and softball for the past 10 years. When not holding a coaching clipboard in his hand, Chris is professor of pediatrics and genetics at UNMC. 7th Grade Todd Hoffman Todd has been married to his wife Janet for 22 years. They have 3 children; Scott who graduated Creighton Prep in 2010 and twins, Katie and Sarah, who are 2012 Marian graduates. Todd has previously coached youth basketball for his son's teams, and helped form a select boys ‘basketball program named Omaha Pride. Todd coached for the Marian Nets feeder teams for two years and co-coached the 8th grade Marian Jr. Crusader team last year. In addition to basketball, Todd coached baseball and softball for 8 years at Suburban and he coached baseball at St Pius X/St Leos for 2 years. He is currently is serving as the Jr. Crusader Commissioner. Rob Buso Rob and his wife, Jackie, have 3 children: Emma, Ethan and Eli. The family belongs to St. Columbkille Parish, where the children attend school. Rob is entering his 1st season as a Marian Jr. Crusader Assistant Coach and his 6th season of coaching youth basketball, previously coaching with the Jr. Monarch girls program and St. Columbkille boy’s and girl’s basketball. He also is serving on the St. Columbkille Athletic Board as Co-Commissioner of the basketball program. He has also coached football and softball. 6th grade Jonathan Culliver Jonathan is married with three children. His oldest daughter ShayLynn will be a senior at Mercy High School, Enoch a junior at Creighton Prep and Jalea 6th Grade at Holy Cross. He has been coaching youth sports for 15 years. He has experience with youth of all ages, boys and girls and has been a part of many organizations. Jonathan started off volunteering his time as Head football coach for Omaha Storm and realized his love for coaching and continued on and has helped develop select baseball for Bellevue Junior Sports Association (BJSA). Jonathan also coached boy’s basketball Jr. Monarch’s. For the past few years, he has coached girls’ basketball for Holy Cross and (Jr. Crusaders) Marian High School. Jonathan enjoys coaching youth sports and helping our youth learn the fundamental skills to continue playing the sports they love. Paul Miller Paul and his family are members of Saint Margaret Mary (SMM) Parish. The family includes his wife Lynne and three daughters; Sydney who will be a freshman at Marian, Riley a sixth grader, and Ellie a fourth grader at SMM. Paul has previously coached basketball for YMCA, PAL, and CYO teams for his two oldest daughters. Scott Rohlfs Scott has been married to his wife Tiffany for 17 years. They have 2 children; Spencer who will be going to Skutt High School this fall and Peyton who will be going into 6th grade at St. Pius/St. Leo. Scott coached soccer in the St. Pius/St. Leo soccer organization for both his kids. Scott is currently coaching his son’s last year of baseball for the Omaha Outlaws baseball organization before moving on to high school. He has coached there for 4 years. He is currently scheduled to be an assistant coach under Jonathan Culliver for the Marion Crusader’s 6th grade basketball team. 6th Grade Mike Remmick Mike has been married to his wife Kim for 16 years. They have 2 wonderful children; Their son, Michael, who is 14 and attending Creighton Prep and their daughter, Aidan, who is 11 and attending Buffet Middle School, but will be a student at Marian in a couple of years. Mike helped start up a girls basketball team named the Mystics, which he helped coach for 3 years. Mike played basketball, baseball, football and ran track and cross country while in high school in North Dakota. He is currently a 6th grade Marian Jr. Crusader coach. He is very active in his kids sporting activities and helps them grow as athletes and students. Thomas Tryon Thomas has been married to his wife Toren for 15 years. They have 2 children; Dylan who is in 8th grade and attends Alice Buffett Middle School and Jaedyn who is in 6th grade and also attends Alice Buffett Middle School. Thomas has previously coached basketball for his son's and daughter's teams, and currently is assistant coach on the Marian feeder 6th grade team. 5th Grade Chris Shaffer Chris and his wife, Cathi, have 3 daughters: Madeline, Hannah, and Sophia. Rick Montague Rick has been married to his wife Tricia for 18 years. They have two children Sarah (10) and Lauren (8) that attend St. Wenceslaus Catholic School. Rick has previous basketball coaching experience with both of his daughter's YMCA teams. In addition to basketball, Rick has also coached Softball through Elkhorn Girls Softball Association (EGSA) and Soccer through the Catholic Youth Soccer League (CYSL). Kendra Schomer As the youngest of 4 children, Kendra attended high school in Madison Nebraska. While in high school Kendra participated in volleyball, softball, track and basketball. After high school for 3 years she attended college at USD in Vermillion, SD and played basketball for all three years. Kendra then transferred to Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD for one year where she played basketball and golf. Kendra is currently attending UNMC where she is pursuing a degree in Pharmacy. She attends church at St. Leo's parish in Omaha. 4th grade Shaun Behrens is currently one of the 4th grade Marian Junior Crusader basketball coaches. He is married and has three daughters; Chloe, Cecilia and Tess, who currently attend St. Pius/St. Leo's school. He is entering his third year as girl's basketball commissioner at St. Pius/St. Leo's and has coached girl's basketball for the last six years at the YMCA. He is beginning his twelfth year as a social studies teacher at Omaha Benson high school. Kimberly Sublet-Miller Kim has been married to her husband Jeff for 12 years. They have 2 children; Bailey 9yrs old, and Andrew who is 4yrs, who both attend St. Pius X/ St. Leo Schools. Kim played basketball in South Sioux City, NE and was a part of 2 State Championships (’95 & ’96), and was also inducted into the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame. She went on to play collegiate basketball at Briar Cliff University, which made 4 straight NAIA National Tournament appearances, as well as played volleyball. Kim also assisted with several youth basketball and volleyball camps, as well as refereeing during her high school and college careers. Kim has coached her daughter’s volleyball team through the YMCA for the past 4 seasons and is excited to co-coach with the Jr. Crusaders. Brian Allbery Brian has been coaching youth sports for the past 12 years. He has coached basketball teams in the upper division of the PAL league, the CYO, the gold division of the Predator league, as well as CYSL soccer and Little League/select baseball. Brian's family includes wife Sandi, sons Alex and Jason who attend Creighton Prep; son Eric and daughters Amanda and Julia who attend Christ the King.
