Vascular and cardiac diagnostic and
interventional cases. Diagnostic
electrophysiology studies, ablations and device
implants. Some special procedures are also
performed by the interventional Radiologists.
2 Cath suites and 1 EP suite.
Emergency/Trauma Services and a Critical Care
Air and Ground Transport network.
Level 1 Emergency Department and an ACS
verified Level 1 Trauma. 3 Fast Track, 4
Observation and 13 Other rooms
Multiple types of surgical procedures including:
cardiothoracic, vascular, otolaryngology, urology,
general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmic, plastic
surgery, gynecology and neurosurgery. The
Operating Room also performs kidney transplants.
10 major operating rooms, and one cystoscopy
room. 4 operating rooms in GIMISC DH
Preop holding area for surgery patients; patient
preparation for surgery and some invasive
procedures. Recovery of postop patients, phases
I, II, III. Pain Management.
Pre op holding area has 13 patient care slots
PACU has 15

ICCU
Step down intensive care and post cath unit. The
unit serves cardiac, medical, post CABG and
trauma populations. 14 semi-private beds and 15
private rooms 5 of which can function as either
ICU or step down beds. All patients on the unit
can be monitored with telemetry and 15 of the
private rooms have hardwire monitoring
capabilities. Ventilator patients are housed only in
the private rooms with hardwire monitoring.
Other technologies such as peritoneal dialysis,
Swan Ganz monitoring, pericardial drains are also
utilized in this area. Total of 29 beds.
4AB is a med-surg unit whose primary
population consists of renal, urology, and is the
designated area for renal transplants. 4AB has a
capacity of 25 beds.

Focus of Care/Service
4CD is a Med-surg unit whose primary
population is oncology, gynecology and general
medicine. Designated area for chemotherapy,
biotherapy and radiation therapy with a capacity
of 28 beds.
Intermediate care beds servicing primarily
surgery and trauma patients. All patients on the
unit can be monitored with telemetry and 17 of
the private rooms have hardwire EKG
monitoring capabilities. Invasive pressure
monitoring also utilized in this area. Adult and
older adult surgical and trauma patients in pre
and postoperative phase, including any condition
requiring management by the surgery services.
Total of 29 beds. ( 7 private, 22 semi-private)
Med-Surg unit servicing primarily neurology,
neurosurgery and medical patients. Two semiprivate rooms are designated for stroke patients
and three private rooms are designated for long
term seizure monitoring. Total of 20 beds. (8
private, 12 semi-private)
Surveyed as part of Stroke Disease Certification
program.
GI and pulmonary endoscopy, pain management.
Acute inpatient rehabilitation unit.
CARF accredited for Spinal Cord, Brain Injury, &
Comprehensive Rehabilitation. 22 beds
Child and adolescent inpatient mental health
services. 16 staffed beds.
