Wauconda High School 555 N. Main St Wauconda, Illinois.
Parking:
There is only one main parking lot at Wauconda HS..
Registration: Upon arrival, directors are to:
1.
Escort students to their rehearsal areas. Report any absentees to the Division Representative
upon arrival in the rehearsal area.
2.
Check in at the director’s registration table outside the student cafeteria after students have been
escorted to their rehearsal areas.
EACH DIRECTOR MUST CHECK IN.
3.
You will receive name tags and sign in at this time.
4.
If the director is unable to remain for the entire day, another director from your school must be
designated to supervise and accept responsibility for the student(s) from your school – report this
at registration at the beginning of the day.

Concert Recording: This year we will be running a pre-order program for the concert recordings.
100 units must be pre-sold by 10/28/13. If we do not reach that goal, the concert will not be recorded.

Equipment - Students are reminded to bring:
• music (black folios for the choral students)
• pencil to mark music
• music stands for band/orchestra students (mark names on them!)
• instruments (Cello/Bass & Bass Clarinet Players - Bring rock stops
• sticks/mallets/accessories for percussionists
Concert Attire:
Students are asked to arrive in concert attire.
There is no time or place to change at the festival.
boys: white dress shirt w/ tie, black or dark blue pants, dark shoes & dark socks (no gym
shoes).
girls: white blouse and solid black or dark blue skirt or dress pants with appropriate shoes and
socks or hose (no gym shoes).

These meetings are an important part of our working process in the district--your presence and input are important!
Bring suggestions for music for next year's groups (scores if you have them) and recommendations (and addresses and phone
numbers) for prospective conductors. Another important priority is to nominate and elect leadership for the divisions and the
district and to find new sites for auditions and the festival.

Supervision:
Teachers are responsible for the conduct and attendance of their students during the festival. Upon arrival,
accompany your students to their assigned rehearsal areas, make sure they get checked in and then check in
at the directors’ registration table. All participating directors must check in at the registration table--if, for some
reason, the director is unable to remain for the day, another director or certified staff member from your school
district must be designated to supervise and accept responsibility for the student(s) from your school. Report
this at the registration table at the beginning of the day.

NUTRITION BREAK – 10:30 – 11:00
Students are to bring a light, healthy snack and a small bottle of water. They will have only 30 minutes to eat, use the
restroom and be on the risers in the performance space. Students should arrive in concert attire, as there will be no time to
change. Directors, please bring an adult chaperone with you to help with supervision.
We strongly encourage parents and family members to attend the concert at 12:00. The students have spent a lot of time
and hard work preparing this music for the festival and they are so excited to perform it for you. We look forward to
seeing you at the concert.
Lunch: Lunch will be a pizza lunch containing two slices of pizza, chips, drink and fruit. The cost is $5.
Additional drinks and snacks will be available on site for an additional charge.
Coats and Cases: Students will be able to store coats and cases in the rehearsal room. Please do not bring
iPods or other valuable items to ILMEA. Keep all money with you at all times. ILMEA cannot be responsible
for lost items.
