Reminders to Patients that have Skin Grafting
Surgery
1. Except for doctor’s permission, must give wounded
limb enough support and fixating after surgery, and
must raise wounded part to above height of heart in
case of becoming swollen.
2. If patient encounters any discomforts, such as pain,
after being fixated with plaster, please inform medical
attendants.
3. For patient that has skin grafting surgery must not
move randomly, especially for those who have
surgery on neck. Patient must have permission from
doctor before starting to talk, to sleep on pillow, or to
turn, in order to guarantee having a successful
surgery.
4. Patient that has facial or cervical skin grafting surgery
must have permission from medical attendants before
having foods.
5. Please keep surrounding area of surgical part clean at
all times after having a skin grafting surgery.
6. Perihepatic pad above skin replacement section will be
automatically fallen off after it’s dry. Please must not
deliberately remove it to cause 2nd time defect and
cause scars on skin.
7. May apply cold cream to nourish skin after skin
replacement section is fallen off, and also should
avoid suntan in half a year.
8. Please have permission from doctor first before using
elastic clothes and socks and causing fattening of
scars.
9. Please return to hospital for regular treatment under
doctor’s instruction.
10. If you have any questions, please inquire medical
attendants. They are enthusiastic to serve you at all
