Pet Keyhole Surgery
New Era Veterinary Hospital may soon be investing in the skills and
equipment to allow us to provide keyhole surgery. This would allow us
to spay bitches from 5 months of age. The advantages of this
procedure are:
Reduced chance of Post Op complication e.g from wounds being
licked.
Minimal invasive surgery with much less Post Op pain.
 Two small incisions for the procedure
No Stitches
Reduced time in surgery
Return to exercise quicker
Disadvantages:
The bitch would be clipped on the side and underneath the belly.
Key hole surgery would be roughly £150 more than a standard spay.
