‘’FIRST FAIR IN TURKEY FOR EUROPEAN
SCHOOLS’’
This will be the first event ever in Turkey that is organized for
European Schools specifically. There has been a growing
demand over the past few years for European Schools
(language schools and undergraduate / postgraduate studies)
in Turkey since the costs are more affordable compared to
other popular study destinations and the schools proximity to
Turkey. Schools from Europe normally are invited to
education fairs with USA and other English speaking
countries’ education providers. According to Higher
Education Council of Turkey (YOK) and Embassy statistics
that each and every year, more students go to Europe to study
languages and further/higher education. Therefore, a specific
organization for European schools will be more effective for
both students and the schools.
This fair is organized for European Education Providers such
as universities and university language departments, colleges,
language schools, cultural exchange programs, high schools,
and boarding schools who want to be a part of a rapidly
growing and challenging market.
FACTS ABOUT TURKISH EDUCATION
MARKET

Based on visa statistics from embassies in Turkey, each
year more than 25,000 students leave Turkey to study
languages or to attend universities in pursuit of degree
or certificate programs. According to Ministry of
Education and visa statistics, currently more than
40.000 Turkish students are studying at overseas
educational institutions.

Each year more than 1,500,000 Turkish students take
the National University Placement Test, but 1 million
students can not be placed due to lack of institutions in
Turkey. There are also thousands of students who seek
alternatives at foreign institutions due to their
unsatisfactory placement at a national university.

Globalization and Turkey’s intention to join the
European Economic Union has increased the demand
for language studies and other study abroad
alternatives.

 Due to inadequate language education at high schools
and universities in Turkey, Turkish students go abroad
to study languages during their education or right after
they graduate.
