Macmillan Coffee Morning
Last Friday’s Macmillan Coffee Morning hosted by the school PTA made a fabulous
£371.72 for this worthy charity. Thank you to all the parents who baked and
helped on the day, as well as everyone who turned out to support the event.
Infant Trip to Clitheroe Castle
Mrs Hamlett’s class are visiting Clitheroe Castle on Monday 6th October with the
infant children from Leck Primary School. They will all need a packed lunch and
drink, all disposable items please in a named carrier bag. An information sheet
giving further details is included in the bag today.
Junior Trip to Vindolanda
The junior class are all visiting Vindolanda on Hadrian’s Wall on Wednesday 8th
October. This trip will have an early start, due to the distance they need to travel.
All pupils need to be at school for 8.20am; the bus will be leaving promptly at
8.30am. We hope to be back at school by 5pm. Pupils will all need a packed lunch
and a sufficient drink for the day. They should wear their school jumpers with
warm trousers and sensible shoes (trainers or walking boots) and have a
waterproof coat. A detailed information sheet is included in their bag today.
Parents Evenings
Appointment sheets are now available near each classroom door for parents to sign
up for an appointment to talk to your child’s teacher on either Monday 13th or
Tuesday 14th October. Staff really value the opportunity to talk to parents on
these evenings. Please ring school for an appointment, if it’s difficult for you to
pop in and sign up. We will try and find a suitable time for you.
School Uniform
Please can we remind everyone to label all school uniform, including book bags etc.
This allows us to reunite children with items found in school. We do also have a
lost property box that parents are welcome to come and look in, should any items
be missing. This box is kept in the corridor by the junior classrooms on the self
where children put their lunch boxes.
Second Hand Uniform
We have a small stock of second hand uniform that the PTA organise. If you
require any items please let us know in the Friday bag and we will have a look
through the stock for you. We ask for a donation of £1 for items with the school
logo and 50p for all other items.
