Junior Achievement Azerbaijan is local representative of Junior Achievement Worldwide, one of the world's largest non-governmental organizations whose purpose is to provide business and economic education. JA Azerbaijan currently seeks an experienced, mature professional to fill the position of Technical Coordinator for the School Economic Education Program (SEE), a program of the United States Agency for International Development implemented by JA Azerbaijan. This position is based in Baku, Azerbaijan with periodic regional travel. Fluency in English, Azeri and Russian is required. Responsibilities: · Be a part of Technical Department at Junior Achievement Azerbaijan · Work closely with program staff to ensure smooth operation of the program · Manage technical aspects of the programs · Assist Executive Director and Program Coordinator in school and college selection · Oversee development of Internet Computer Centers at selected schools, including procurement and installation of equipment and ongoing troubleshooting and technical support · Provide ongoing troubleshooting and technical support for Project Harmony and Junior Achievement offices · Provide Executive Director with regular reports on the technical aspects of the program · Travel throughout Azerbaijan when needed · Coordinate technical operation of the Azerbaijan Connections and Exchange program and School Economic Education program schools · Provide hands-on training for educators on computer equipment maintenance and technical troubleshooting · Actively participate in all staff meetings · Other duties as assigned Qualifications Sought: · Creativity, optimism, and the ability to use obstacles as opportunities · Strong experience in working with educators in Azerbaijan · Ability to work both independently and as a team member · Excellent organizational and communication skills · Flexibility and grace under the demands of changing tasks · Willingness to adjust to demanding work schedule · Availability for travel to the regions of Azerbaijan and abroad · Fluency in English, Azeri and Russian Junior Achievement Azerbaijan seeks to fill this position as soon as possible.
