Welcome to Mrs. Santosuosso’s Third Grade Class
Welcome to a fantastic new year in grade three! I hope you and your family had a
wonderful summer. I absolutely love teaching third grade. In my opinion, I think it is the
most wonderful age. The children are starting to become more independent, and they are
so inquisitive.
Let me tell you a little about myself. This is my ninth year teaching grade 3 at
Varnum Brook. I completed my undergraduate studies at Bentley College and received my
Masters in Elementary Education from Lesley University. I have an amazing two year old
daughter who surprises me every day with the new things she learns. I am often
characterized as patient and understanding. I am very excited to introduce your child to
many wonderful learning adventures during the upcoming year.
Our classroom learning community is made up of individuals with unique interests,
goals, and learning styles. Would you take a few moments over the next week or so to
write to me about your child? What are some of the things that you, as a parent, can
share about your child? What are his or her interests? What would you like me to know
about your youngster? What is he or she excited about – nervous about? All of this
information will help us get off to the smoothest start possible.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I am looking forward to a
challenging your child academically, while providing as many hands-on learning opportunities
as I can. Please feel free to contact me any time. I can’t wait to meet your child next
week, and I also look forward to meeting you soon.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Santosuosso
