It was moved that the correspondence be accepted. Moved: Z Chalmers Seconded: M Drury Carried 5. SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT REPORT Mr Woodbury reported on the T20 final won by Pitt Town. The overall view o fhte T20 format was that it was reasonably successful. 6. JUNIOR VICE PRESIDENT REPORT Mr Wassall advised the Junior representative presentation was held on Sunday 26 Februrary. Date for Junior presentation to be advised.(Now set for Sunday 6 May at Richmond Club commencing at 6.00pm) The u10 development squad trial match against Newcastle was held on 26 Feb at Pitt Town Sports club. Mr Matheson acknowledged the great job David did in relation to the junior representative teams and junior competition. 7. SPORTS COUNCIL REPORT Mr Bartley advised he was in regular contact with the Sports Council re the condition of grounds due to the wet weather. The mowing contractor has not be able to get onto a lot of grounds but will be trying to ge grounds mown for the junior finals. 2 Signed as Correct: ……………….……………… …………………. One in relation to the 7 a side final and another in relation to the T20 final. Umpires for senior semi finals need to be provided by clubs. 9. JUDICIARY REPORT Umpires report re the 7 a side final has been referred to the Judiciary and will be heard on 8 March. 10. NSW DCA REPORT Nil. 11. GENERAL BUSINESS 10.1 Pitt Town Sports (PT) v Bligh Park (BP) u12B match dispute. Issue was whether BP had played an ineligible player in that a player who had played more than 6 matches in a higher age group had played in the match without the approval of the management committee - rule 46.4(c). After discussion it was moved that Bp had not complied with the rule and that under 46.3(c) BP should lose the points from the match and maximum points in the round be awarded to PT. Moved: A Woodbury Seconded: N Byers Carried (2 against) 10.2. Junior presentation is on Sunday 6th May at the Richmond Club commencing at 6.00pm. Senior presentation is on Saturday 12th May at the Richmond Club. 10.3 Mr Bartley advised that we would again be holding a meeting with the clubs to review the season. Date to be advised 10.4. Mr Mulford mentioned that there was some discussion among the umpires concerning the rule that allows a coach to retire a player after 20 overs. It was confirmed that this is at the discretion of the coach and is not compulsory. Secretary to review the wording to ensure clarity before the next AGM. 10.5 Mr Bourke asked if the Exec had requested a report in relation to the condition of McQuade oval pitch. Mr Bartley said no report had been requested although some discussions had been held. Agreed the secretary to asked Freemans Reach to provide an outline of how they intend to ensure the pitch is ready for next season . 10.6 The coverage of the T20 final by the Gazette was raised. It was felt it could have been better. Committee to look at how we can work with the gazette in improving coverage of our game.
