6th Grade Camp Cilca Trip Contract: May 25-27th,2016
What is Camp Cilca?
Camp Cilca is an outdoor education experience for your child. We spend three days and two nights at Camp Cilca in
Cantrall, IL. During that time they will experience many activities that would be impossible to do at school. Activities
mostly cover the areas of science, mathematics, geography, writing, and P.E.
Camp Contract

__________________________, do hereby agree to follow the Camp Cilca rules to qualify to
attend the Outdoor Education Program
May 25, 26, 27th. I promise to make wise choices, so that I will have
appropriate classroom behavior and work hard on my class studies to earn good grades.
*I realize that I CANNOT go to camp if:
repeated inappropriate classroom behavior
fighting or suspension
receiving any “D” or “F” any remaining report card, or 4th quarter progress report card
absent more than 5 days of school in 2nd, 3rd or 4th quarter
Cost
Camp this year will cost each student $80.00 This includes a camp t-shirt, 3 days lodging in cabins, 3 meals a day, 2
snacks a day, all materials and activities, a challenge course, and presenter fees. The money will be due by Friday,
April 15th, but money may be turned in early in full or in payments. In the event your child cannot attend camp, your
money will be refunded. We have also received some scholarship money to help with the cost of camp. A scholarship
application is available in the wooden bookcase in the lobby and will need to be filled out by March 25th and turned in
to Mrs. Griminger. Help is limited and will be granted to those families in most need and notication will be given by
April 8th. We will hold a “Parent Informational Meeting” Thurs. April 14th from 6pm-7pm to give further details
and answer questions on what to expect, what to pack, and pick-up times. Many parents actually find it most
convienient to pay for camp at this meeting! Checks are payable to Grant Middle School. Please place your child’s
name and Camp Cilca on the memo line. Students are not to come to this meeting. What we do at camp is FUN, but a
SECRET!!!
