There will only be a half day of school. Dismissal times are: KG – 2nd: 12:15 pm; 3rd – 5th: 12:20 pm; 6th – 8th: 12:25 pm. Buses will run at 12:30. Fire Prevention Week is the week of October 5th – 9th. Students in Grades Pre-K – 3 will walk over to the fire station for a tour. The AR Store will be held during the week of Oct. 12th. Students will need 5 points to shop. Friday, October 9th, there will be a Teachers’ Institute. There will be No School for students. There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, Oct. 12th – Columbus Day. Friday, October 16th is Early Dismissal (end of the first nine weeks). Dismissal times: KG – 2nd 1:45 pm; 3rd – 5th 1:50 pm; 6th – 8th 1:55 pm. Buses will run at 2:00 pm. ISSUE NO. 2 conferences). For parents who pay by the month, lunch amount due for October is $ 47.50. For parents/guardians of students who need to carry asthma medication or an EpiPen, medical authorization is required from the students’ prescribing physican and parent/guardian must sign a form. Please let the office know if your student has an EpiPen or asthma medication he/she must carry. Red Ribbon Week will be held Oct. 19-23. The Student Council will plan activities for this week. Book Fair will be held October 20- 26. Students will attend the fair during their regular library time. This year the Book Fair will be open on Wed., Oct. 21st and Thurs., Oct. 22nd during Parent-Teacher Conferences from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to shop at that time. Monday, October 26, there will be a Public Health flu vaccine clinic at the school library from 2 – 6 pm. Members of the community are invited to attend. The cost is $30 per vaccine. Vaccine is covered through Medicare Part B and Medicaid. Please bring your card. A receipt will be given for insurance purposes. REPORT CARDS will be issued on Tuesday, October 20th.
