Program Description : …This program is set up for foreign medical students or internists or
(medical) general practioners who would like to gain theoretical knowledge and skillful management in patients during perioperative period. Experiences would include preoperative management especially in difficult cases, intraoperative management focusing on airway management, cardiovascular management for stability, and postoperative management including respiratory care and pain management

Program Objectives:
8.1 To know basic knowledge of perioperative preparation
8.2 To appropriately manage preoperative care in difficult cases
8.3 To achieve basic skills of airway managements; mask ventilation and intubation
8.4 To achieve basic skills of peripheral and central intravenous access
8.5 To appropriate monitor and management for intraoperative cardiovascular stability in difficult cases
8.6 To know basic knowledge of postoperative respiratory care
8.7 To know basic knowledge of postoperative pain control

Airway management; airway maneuvers, mask ventilation, intubation

10.2.1…Four weeks for preoperative managements; practices-surgical rounds, preanaesthetic visits, post-anesthetic round, and emergency anesthesia or lectures/personal discussion as appropriated
10.2.2…Six weeks for intraoperative experiences; practices-intravenous access, airway management, monitoring and cares at recovery rooms
10.2.3…Four weeks for intensive care experiences; ward round, continuous monitors, decision making in ICU, lectures

Evidence of graduation from a nationally or regionally accredited Medical School.

Documentation of an active medical practice affiliation with a national or regional
medical facility in home nation.

Evidence of financial support from the affiliated medical facility for the study visit

Evidence of financial support for travel and personal expenses during the training
period.

A 1-2 page letter describing your objectives or expectation for participating this program, also describing your experiences of learning anesthesiology in your medical school and anesthesia-related skills that you can do. This information will be
provided to the host center to set up some practices that suit to your desires.

A valid passport from the home country and eligibility to obtain a visa to travel to
Thailand if selected.

Training Programs, the applicants must submit original supporting documents to Graduate
Division, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.

Period of Application: Before the end of November each year (An acceptant letter might be processed in at least 2 weeks, if it needed a plan for VISA would be your responsibility)

International Student Regulation:
Before enrollment, all international trainees are required to show heath certificate and adequate proof of health insurance coverage.
