Recently the cause of epicondylitis is known as chronic overload and degeneration on medial and lateral epicondlytis. By using botox and PRP simultaneously, we tried to reduce pain with botox, and make degenerated tissue heal and regenerate with PRP, at the same time. Method : 16cases(14patients) were participated who previously had conservative treatment. (8 medial epicondylitis, 8 lateral epicondylitis) They received botox Dysport ® botulinum toxin 70U by using EMG/STIM-guided injection and PRP by centrifuging 20cc whole blood of their own. Result : After injection there were significant increase of simple elbow test(SET) score and significant decrease of visual analogue scale(VAS) score. 15 out of 16 patient showed successful results. (scoring system by Roles and Maudsley : excellent and good) After pain resolved patients took eccentric strengthening exercise and showed no recurrence after vigorous use. Conclusion : We recommend using both botox and platelet rich plasma(PRP) simultaneously in patients with medial or lateral epicondylitis.
