Carnivals & State representation Sturt enters teams in the October long weekend junior carnival which is held at West Beach. The Senior State Championships are held in January at West Beach and Junior State Championships are held in February (usually in a different SA region each year). Sturt enters teams in both of the junior tournaments. The Waverley Easter Carnival (Victoria) is also a regular event for Sturt junior teams. We encourage our players to attend State team trials. Information about these carnivals and trials is circulated throughout the season. Team roles For every team we register we must also have a coach, a team manager, a scorer and an umpire. These positions are filled by volunteers (players, parents, supporters) who are able to provide the required time and energy commitment to these roles. Express your interest in any of these roles on Registration Day. Sponsorship Refer to our website for sponsorship packages. Social Sturt does not have Clubrooms but we still have an active social calendar. This usually includes activities such as a Quiz Night held early in the season, a mid season Club Day at West Beach and an end of season Presentation Dinner that all Club members and friends are encouraged to attend.
