According to the Census 2001, there are 2.19 CRORE people with disabilities in India
who constitute 2.13 per cent of the total population. This includes persons with visual,
hearing, speech, locomotor and mental disabilities. Seventy five per cent of persons with
disabilities live in rural areas - The people living in the rural areas are mostly with the
difficulties, Poverty, Illiteracy; traditional believes, etc., Due to this the appropriate
medical treatment and approaches of the physically challenged are lacking in the rural
areas. Physically challenged children are treated with local inexperienced hoax doctors
due to the parent’s innocence, lack of accessing the appropriate hospitals medical centers
for the appropriate treatment in time.

not treated, they tied with the rope. When ever they got little money they treated with the
local hoax doctor, the parents are not taking the child to the public places, the parents are
not giving care as equal to the normal child. Finally the volunteer Village Level
