Objectives
Formation of physicians specialized in pediatric surgery, able
to carry out social assistance, administrative, teaching and
research activities under the perception that an individual is a
biological, psychological and social being, indivisibly member
of a family and a community.
Admission Profile
The applicant must:
 Be a physician-surgeon; have interest in the administrative,
scientific and teaching areas; with social services, teaching
and research aptitudes.
 Possess abilities for the use of different methods and
surgery techniques in pediatric patients.

To complete the application form for admission to
the UAEM School of Medicine and submit it duly
authorized by the Chief of Clinical Instruction of the
host hospital.
Letter of acceptance from the hospital where the
specialization will be obtained.
Birth certificate (copy)
Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (copy)
Official Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery
or Professional Exam Certificate (copy)
Graduate certificate in Pediatrics or university
specialization exam certificate (copy)
To have submitted and passed the national
selection exam in Medical Residencies (copy)
Payment receipt of UAEM admission fees.
Applicants that are foreigners must go through the
recognition process for their previous studies before
the corresponding authorities.

El graduate will be able to:
 Act on any level of medical attention in accordance with the
population’s needs.
 Develop the coordination of related services in order to
provide patients with efficient medical-surgical attention.
 Collaborate with the teaching and research programs.
